The Jedi approached the metallic surface of the rebuilt Alderaan. A hologram projector turned on as the fleet approached the planet. "Master Torn," said the holographic image of General Tarkhil. "What is the meaning of this?" "The temple was attacked," Torn said. "I've brought the survivors here to recoup and plan a defense against the Sith." "I saw," said the general. "It is a tragedy what happened to the temple, but this project was to remain a secret." "We have bigger worries now," Torn said. "The Sith have returned and we need a plan of attack. You're cooperation would be appreciated, but is not necessary." Tarkhil sneered at the Jedi. "Very well, you have been cleared for landing." The fleet took off towards the planet. Malewa looked concerned and all of the Jedi were silent.

Saren looked over to Master Frey. She stared off into the distance, at nothing in particular. He moved closer to her. "Are you alright, Master?" he asked. Frey nodded without looking at him. "I'm fine." Saren let the awkward silence sink in. "So who was that Rectar guy?" Saren asked. Frey was silent. "Sorry..." Saren said. "I shouldn't have..."

"Rectar Pholdarn was once a Jedi," Cregan explained. "One of the most powerful ones there's ever been. But we sensed a darkness in him and he was banished. We don't know what happened to him after that." "Apparently, he joined the Sith," Torn said. "And he's not the only one. The Sith army is much larger than expected, they must have been planning this for some time. It's curious though, how could they have hidden from us for so long. And who is leading them. We must find answers to these questions." "Rectar seemed far stronger than when we met him last," Liib added. "I could sense conflict within him. It's clear that something else occurred during his banishment. His is a mystery that must be solved."

"He needs to be eliminated," Frey said. "He's too far gone to be saved, and too powerful to be left unchecked."

"Agreed," said Torn. "It may not be the way of the old Jedi, but I concur," said Cregan. "Pholdarn is a monster. He can't be allowed to live." The ship landed and the Jedi were met outside their vehicle by General Tarkhil. "Welcome, Jedi," he said. "To the new, and might I add, improved Alderaan!" He opened his arms and highlighted the many men working on gigantic monoliths of metal that pierced the sky. The ground was made from similar metal and throughout the entire surface a low humming could be felt through the planet. "I'm sure you're curious to see what the galaxies taxes are being spent on, so I'll give you a tour," Tarkhil said.

"This is incredible!" Saren exclaimed. The other adults turned to glare at him. "Sorry," Saren said. "It's just that, I've read up on the history of this planet and its destruction, and it's just so...amazing that it could be recreated like this. Like a piece of history has been reborn."

"Precisely," Tarkhil said. "The Death Star was the first device that was built that had enough power to destroy an entire planet. What we've created, "The Life Core," does something even more powerful. It generated enough magnetic power to essentially create a synthetic planet. It may not look like much yet, but at the center of this gigantic sphere is a man-made core, strong enough to keep everything held together and hold it in orbit. We've created the first man-made world. And it serves as a monument to a piece of galactic history. Now, if you'll follow me, we've prepared rooms for you."

"The power to create entire planets," Saren said as he marveled at the halls of the new Alderaan. "Imagine the lives we can save. We could change the universe." "But should we?" Frey said, glancing at him.

"Though it is quite secret, I can assure you that it is all perfectly legal," Tarkhil said. "Currently, New Alderaan, as we're calling her, isn't open to civilians. The only people currently on-planet are workers, Galactic Union Representatives, and yourselves. If you'll follow me, I will show you to your new home." Tarkhil smiled, tapping his cane on the ground happily and leading the Jedi down the long metallic street. The sounds of metal striking metal and the sizzling of molten elements cried loudly through the streets. Tall metallic structures littered both sides of the street as they walked. Most looked incomplete, some looked shiny and new. On every corner there were men working to bring the once destroyed planet back to life. Cregan frowned, a worried look coming over his face. "What troubles you, my friend?" Liib asked him. "This planet is dead," Cregan said. "The Force does not flow here. These man made machines do not match the natural flaw of a planet. Everything is so... quiet here." "You-sa crazy," Malewa said. "Me-sa gettin' headaches wid alla dis noise!" "The sounds are loud, yes," Cregan agreed. "But the Force is silent here." "Hopefully we will not have to be here long," Liib said, patting the Sith on the back. "Besides, quiet is just what we need if we are to hide from out enemies." "I have a bad feeling about this," Cregan said. Soon, Tarkhil was stopping outside of a large metallic structure. A tall building, over twenty stories high, stood before him. "Welcome to the Organa Safehold," Tarkhil said. "Named, of course, after the fearless princess who helped crush the Empire. It is one of the few establishments that is completely renovated, and I can assure you, we have spared no expense. This is a luxurious estate that provides comfort and safety for close to a million people. It was designed to even be able to withstand the force of the destructive laser of the Death Star. No place in the galaxy is more protected." The Jedi stared in awe of the massive structure. A worker walked up to Tarkhil and whispered something in his ear. "I'm afraid this is where I leave you, Jedi," Tarkhil said. "Some of my fellow Union representatives await you inside if you have further questions. Please, enjoy your stay on New Alderaan." Tarkhil walked off, leaving the Jedi to venture into the building on their own.

Frey walked up to Cregan, Torn, and Liib and whispered, "May I have a word with you three?" She led them into a corner and said, "Rectar is still out there. I know this shouldn't trouble me as much as it should, but it is. And with Master Gutta gone, I just..." Her voice trailed off.

"Frey, we need you here," Torn said. "Gutta sacrificed himself to make sure we survived. We need to regroup if we are to battle the Sith. We can't have you distracted." Cregan silently nodded in agreement. Liib folded his arms and said nothing.

Frey nodded her head. "I understand. I know I've never been overly friendly with any of you aside from Gutta but...I'm glad you're all here."

"But Rectar is a problem," Liib said. "If he's working with the Sith... I shudder to think what he might do. He alone could wipe out all of us. I could sense him even through all the chaos. His power is strong." "I agree," Cregan said. "Something must be done." "It may take all of us to stop him," Torn said. "We can't spare that any soldiers." "Hmm, it appears we are in a dilemma," Cregan said. "What happened to Greye?" "He never reported in," Torn said. "He's likely still on Lothal tracking down the slavers." "We're going to need him and his master if she's still alive," Cregan said. "In the meantime, what do we do about Rectar?" Liib asked.

"If he's a strong enough Force user," Frey said, "we should be able to find him. But we'll need to be pointed in the right direction in order to do so."

"Someone must have seen where the Sith went," Cregan said. "An entire Sith war fleet doesn't just disappear." "We will need to investigate further," Liib said. "For now, we must see to the Padawans and get settled in." The Jedi enter the safe house followed by their Padawans. Inside, Iqris Shamaya and Groda Hesrik awaited them. Their outfit looked royal and decorative in classic Galactic Union fashion. "Welcome Master Jedi!" Groda greeted. "We saw what happened at the temple, is everyone alright?" "We lost a lot of good Jedi," Cregan said. "And... Master Gutta didn't make it." "I'm very sorry," Groda said. "If there is anything we can do to make your stay here more comfortable, please do not hesitate to ask." The interior was as large and metallic as the outside street, though royally decorated. The building had a large open atrium with several doors leading off to different wings of the safe house. "The safe house is yours for as long as you need it," Iqris said. "If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them."
