"I'm sure you've heard the news of Thagusa's escape?" the General asked.

"Indeed," Frey said, staring unblinking at Tarkhil. "I've also heard that the Union believes that it was an inside job. That the Jed orchestrated his escape from our own prison."

"Believe me," Tarkihl said. "If we had any other suspects we wouldn't be here. Unfortunately, the assailant wielded a lightsaber and we have to eliminate the obvious suspects, which unfortunately means the Jedi. Now I just want to ask you a few questions. Are there any Jedi within your ranks who you suspect of treachery?"

"None," Frey answered immediately. "I trust every single being at this temple, including the padawans."

"I see," Tarkihl said, taking a few notes on a holopad. "And what about yourself? Have you ever felt the... uh... influence... of the dark side?"

"No," Frey said. "I have always remained loyal to the Jedi, and I will remain that way until the day I die."

"I understand you're rather hard on your students," Tarkihl accused. "What have you to say about these accusations?"

"I am firm, yes," Frey said. "But never cruel. My master was hard on me, and it just did me all the better. They'll never learn anything with a soft teacher."

"The Hutt?" Tarkihl said. "He's a peculiar one isn't he?" Suddenly, the general's holodisk started ringing. He looked at it for a moment then nodded at the guards. "I'm afraid that's all the time we have for today, Miss Frey," Tarkihl said. "I have a previous engagement I must uphold." He and the guards exited the room.

On Lothal, Thagusa and Reyuun knelt on the ground, tied up in front of the mysterious hooded man. "Well, together again, eh brother?" Thagusa said. Reyuun grunted in reply. "Oh, come on, you missed me. I know you did." Reyuun ignored his brother and directed his attention to their captor. "Do you really think the Jedi are foolish enough to fall for this trick?"

As if on cue, a small Jedi shuttle landed and it's ramp unfolded. Demmos and Greye walked out, lightsabers at the ready. "Be careful," Demmos said. "We don't know what this guy can do." "I'm pretty sure he can die," Greye said. "This is no time for joke," Demmos said. The two Jedi ignited their sabers. The hooded figure, unhooked the hilt from his belt and ignited his blood red saber. "It's two on one," Greye said. "We can take him." "Yeah, but neither of us have ever fought a Sith before," Demmos pointed out. "How hard can it be?" The hooded figure lifted his hand and, behind the Jedi, their ship began to levitate. The Jedi turned around, stunned. The Sith Lord crushed his hands into a fist and the ship crumpled up like a ball of paper. "Guess there goes our escape plan," Greye said. Demmos shot him a look that was half-anger and half-fear. The mystery figure walked forward slowly towards the Jedi. "What do we do?" Greye asked. "We fight." The pair of Jedi ran at the Sith who raised his arm and swatted Demmos away like a fly with the force. Greye stayed true and swung at the hooded man. He, of course blocked his strike causing both sabers to spark as they clashed. As Demmos recovered she noticed another ship flying low to the surface. In its captain seat sat the Mandalorian bounty hunter, Gorell Shambeg. The Jedi Killer landed nearby and exited his ship. He looked at the clash happening a short distance away. "Red?" he said to himself. "I don't have a red one yet." The hooded figure slashed hard enough for Greye to lose his balance and as he moved in for the final strike, the Mandalorian's blue saber blocked the attack. "You are no Jedi," the Sith Lord said. "Yeah," replied the bounty hunter. "But I've killed a few in my day." The two clashed for a moment as Demmos caught up with Greye. They two Jedi shrugged and charged the Sith Lord. In the distance, another Sith, a Rodian, approached the scene.

Darth Tartarus ignited his lightsaber as he got closer to the clash. "Jedi scum," he grunted, picking up speed as he approached the two Jedi from behind.

The hooded man pushed Demmos back with the force and continued to battle of Greye and the Mandalore. Demmos got up and saw the Rodian approaching. "We got another one!" she shouted running after Tartarus.

As Demmos swung her lightsaber, Tartarus met it with his own saber. "Foolish Jedi," he said. "To think you can stand up to a Sith lord like myself." He kicked Demmos, sending her sprawling to the ground.
While that fight went on, Thagusa and Reyuun snuck away and entered the Mandalorian's ship. Quickly undoing their bindings, Reyuun hot-wired the vessel and started to take off. Thagusa peered out of the window at the battle below them. "So where to now, brother?" he asked. "We need some place to lay low for a while," Reyuun answered. "Fortunately, I know a guy."

Greye, Demmos, Gorell, and the Sith Lords fought hard as the Bounty Hunter's ship took off. "Hey!" cried the mandalorian. "That's mine!" He ran after the ship, but it was too late and the vehicle blasted off. Distracted, the mandalorian bounty hunter didn't see the hooded Sith Lord approach from behind and run his saber through his back. The armored hunter fell to the ground and Greye slashed at the Sith Lord who dodged the swipe. Demmos' blade clashed with Tartarus' and she leaned in against his guard. "Your form is rather sloppy for a Sith Lord," Demmos said. "They must be desperate to give you a lightsaber."

Enraged, Tartarus hacked violently at Demmos, though the Jedi did her best to block all of them. "I have been trained by the greatest Sith lord to ever exist," Tartarus growled. "I. Am not. Sloppy." With a well-timed Force push, Tartarus knocked Demmos' lightsaber from her hand, sending it clattering to the ground. The Rodian Sith raised his crimson saber, poised to strike at the defenseless Jedi.

Greye heard a scream and turned to see his master struck down. "NO!" he cried in horror, dodging a strike from the other Sith Lord. He force pushed the hooded man away and raced to his master's side. Tartarus tried to strike him, but with a powerful force push, Greye swatted him out of the way. He knelt beside his fallen master. It was too late. She was dead.

Tartarus approached Greye, his lightsaber buzzing in his hand. "And now you shall join her," he taunted. "Jedi scum."

Greye ignited his saber and blocked the attack from the Sith Lord. With his other hand he used the force to push him away. He got up and ran. He didn't care where he was going. He just needed to get away.

Master Frey reentered the training room and approached Gutta. "How'd it go?" he asked her. "Like you'd expect," Frey said, crossing her arms. "The Union sticking their noses where they don't belong and making false accusations." "Do they have any leads on who kidnapped Thagusa?" Gutta asked. "Yeah. Everyone in the temple." Gutta made a dissatisfied grunting noise. "They'll probably be coming for you next," Frey continued. "But be warned: They don't seem to think highly of you." "Typical," Gutta said. "Blame the Hutt for everything."

Frey and Gutta took on a grave expression. "Most troubling," Frey said. "Perhaps we should assemble the council," Gutta offered. "What remains of then, that is."
